SOPHISTICATED PALATES

One of my regular customers, Lisa, brings her daughter Emily to the Gourmet Lady occasionally.  Emily is a delightful young lady who perks up the room with her natural enthusiasm.  During her first visit to my store, I quickly realized she had some very clear likes and dislikes in the food world.  On a future visit, I introduced Emily and described her as a young gourmet-in-training, having a "very sophisticated palate for such a young lady."  Emily blushed but her mom grinned.  I had to add, "that's a really nice way of saying, she's a fussy eater."  Last week Emily was quite drawn to the chocolate cigars in the store.  There's still one here with her name on it!
