Gourmet Lady Blog

We're busy getting ready to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the Gourmet Lady shop here in Yachats, Oregon.  Robbie Schoonover, aka the "flag lady," has been commissioned to make a big "Happy Anniversary" banner and some new flags too.  Lots of flowers are blooming in the pots on the deck, but please don't ask me to name them, I just call them pretty.  Lots of new inventory has arrived and on my recent roadtrip, I took along smoked salmon jerkey that was a wonderful treat.  Gerry Thompson, who I call the Director of Purchasing, has been ordering up a storm in her always-cheerful-and-efficient manner.  Sometimes she gets carried away and orders things that I didn't ask her too, but gosh, they always sell and she finds great stuff.  She's also making some snacky food for the anniversary party.  Please mark your calendar now for this event:  Friday, May 26, 4-7 pm.  There will be sparkling wine, appetizers, treats, and prizes too.  See you there!
