Gourmet Lady Blog

The Gourmet Lady shop in Yachats has now joined The Wine Place under one roof.  It's been fun to settle into this new, big space and have plenty of room.  Gerry, my faithful helper at Gourmet Lady, still remains and is the one who places orders with vendors, fills internet orders, keeps things beautifully organized (not to mention dusted), and runs the shop when I escape for awhile.  She's been such a presence in the former smaller store that many people think of her as "the" Gourmet Lady.  One customer commented "so you've joined forces with the Gourmet Lady," not realizing that I own both shops.  This weekend was great fun when a customer said, "what happened to that other lady, the NICE lady."  There was so much emphasis on the NICE that I really had to laugh, and then of course when the shop as empty I immediately called the NICE lady to let her know she is being missed.  I certainly couldn't run this shop without the help of the NICE lady.  Well, I could, but it wouldn't be as fun.
