INGREDIENTS:
8 oz sour cream 1/2 cup mayonaise 1 10 oz package of frozen
spinach, thawed and pressed to remove excess water 1 envelope dry
onion soup mix 1 TBS toasted Sesame seeds 1 TBS or more of
Asian Wasabi Oil 1 small can sliced water chestnuts, drained 1
dash of Worcestershire sauce
Mix all ingredients in a food processor until just blended. Chill
and serve.
Wasabi Tuna
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. bluefin tuna Black pepper Salt 3 Tbs. Wasabi
Paste Splash of Hawaiian Kine Wasabi Oil 2 Tbs. Olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
Prepare the tuna by cutting into 2 inch strips, 1 inch wide and 1
inch thick. Season with salt and pepper. Brush each piece of tuna
with the Wasabi paste, covering each side of the tuna. In a large
pan, heat the olive oil. When the oil is hot, pan-fry the tuna until
golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Fry the tuna in
batches. Serve the tuna on a platter with a drizzle of Hawaiian
Kine Wasabi Oil.
Wasabi Chicken
INGREDIENTS
Six chicken breasts, sliced into strips Hawaiian Kine Wasabi
Oil 2/3 cup tomato paste Soy sauce to taste grated
ginger 1 carrot Wasabi paste
DIRECTIONS:
Marinate the chicken in the Hawaiian Kine Wasabi Oil, tomato
paste, soy and garlic for 3 hours. Pan fry it until it's just
cooked.
Brush on Wasabi paste.
Arrange chicken on a bed of lettuce, and sprinkle with grated
ginger and carrots.
Wasabi Mashed Potatoes
INGREDIENTS:
1 medium head garlic 1 tsp. olive oil 11 potatoes 1 cup
butter 9 tsp. Wasabi Paste ˝ cup milk Salt & Pepper to
taste
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Remove outer skin of garlic.
Rub with olive oil and roast on a baking sheet for 45
minutes. Peel and quarter the potatoes. Place in a large, covered
pot of water. Bring to a boil and allow potatoes to simmer for 25
minutes. Drain water and mash the potatoes with butter. Squeeze
softened, skinned garlic cloves into pot. Mash garlic and Wasabi
paste into potatoes, pour in milk and continue to mash until mixture
is light and fluffy. Season to taste with salt and pepper and
serve hot.
Wasabi Tofu Soup
INGREDIENTS
6 cups water 1 Tbsp cooking oil 2 Tbsp chopped ginger
1 Tbsp chopped garlic 2 Tbsp wine 1 tsp salt 3 Tbsp
soy sauce 3 tsp Wasabi paste 1/2 lb. (225 gms) deep fried
packaged tofu 1/4 Cup fresh mushrooms, sliced 1/4 cup snow
peas 1/4 cup cabbage, 1 cup rice noodles
DIRECTIONS:
Cut the tofu into squares. Sauté ginger and garlic until the
garlic is brown. Place the ginger, garlic and remaining broth
ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Add all of the
soup ingredients to the broth. Reduce heat to medium low and cover,
simmering for twenty minutes. Serve hot into serving bowls with
dipping sauce.
Salmon with Wasabi Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup Japanese sweet rice wine 3 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup rice vinegar (not seasoned) 1 1/2 tablespoon finely
grated peeled fresh ginger 2 One pound salmon fillets, each cut
in half 1/4 cup honey 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 3
teaspoons wasabi powder 1 tablespoon water
DIRECTIONS:
Stir together Japanese sweet rice wine, 2 tablespoons of soy
sauce, vinegar, and ginger in a shallow dish. Add salmon, skin sides
up, and marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes. Boil soy
sauce, honey, and lime juice in a small saucepan for about 5
minutes. Mix wasabi powder and water in a small bowl. Broil fish,
skin sides down, on oiled rack of broiler, 5 inches from heat, until
fish is cooked through. (Approximately 6 minutes.) Serve salmon
drizzled with sauces.
Salad With Honey Wasabi Dressing
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup soy sauce 1 cup rice wine vinegar 3 tablespoons
prepared wasabi paste 3 tablespoons wild flower honey 1/2
teaspoon chopped shallot Juice of 1/2 lime 1 cup olive oil (or
Hawaiian Kine Wasabi Oil) Combine all ingredients and mix in
blender.
INGREDIENTS for Salad
2 cups greens 1/4 cup crispy wonton strips 1/3 cup
slaw 1/4 cup Bean sprouts 1/4 cup tomatoes 1/3 bean
sprouts 1/4 cup mango salsa Combine all ingredients and toss
with 2 to 3 ounces of honey wasabi dressing.
